Hey Lunar-tics. The biggest and brightest moon of 2012 is on display tonight and it promises to have a meteor shower in the background. The “supermoon” will be the fullest at 11:35 PM ET Saturday night. Source
Mariano Rivera’s Not Going Out Like That

Don’t count Mariano Rivera out yet. Although the Yankees closer tore the ACL and meniscus in his right knee on Thursday, he said he’s not going out like that. Rivera said he expects to return for the 2013 season. He’s scheduled to meet with the Yankees team physician on Monday. Source
Beastie Boys Adam Yauch Dies of Cancer

Beastie Boys co-founder Adam Yauch ended his three-year cancer battle on Friday morning at the age of 47. He died at New York Presbyterian Hospital with his wife and 13-year-old daughter by his side. Reports say he was lucid until the end.
The Beastie Boys came on the music scene in 1986 with their unique blend of punk, rap and humor. (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party) seemed to be a natural anthem for the all-white group. Source
