Recall on Tassimo Single-Cup Coffee Makers

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall on Tassimo Single-Cup brewers and espresso T-discs due to reports that the brewer sprayed hot liquid, coffee grounds or tea leaves and caused second-degree burn injuries. Recall on Certain Bumbleride Strollers

Bumbleride is recalling Indie & Indie Twin strollers in the U.S. and Canada due to a potentially defective front wheel that could cause an accident and minor injuries. Thirty-six incidents have been reported.

Recall on Hard Cooked Eggs

Michael Foods has recalled hard-cooked eggs packed in brine due to possible Listeria contamination. The eggs were sold to food distributors and manufacturers in 34 states including New Jersey. Some companies have recalled packaged salads that contain hard cooked eggs.

Pfizer Inc. is recalling 1 million packets of birth control pills due to packaging error that could increase the pregnancy risk. The recalled items are manufactured by Pfizer and marketed in the U.S. by Akrimax Rx Products.

BMW Recalls Mini Cooper

BMW is recalling certain 2007-2011 model year Mini Cooper vehicles due to a faulty electric auxiliary water pump that may overheat and possibly cause a fire. BMW dealers will replace defective pumps at no charge to the consumer. The company will notify affected owners. The recall is scheduled to begin in February.

Ford Recalls Certain SUV’s and Minivans

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2001-2002 model year Escape vehicles due to a faulty brake master cylinder reservoir cap. The company is also recalling certain 2004-2005 model year Freestar and Mercury Monterey vehicles due to a faulty torque converter output shaft.

Novartis Recall on Over-the-Counter Drugs

Novartis Consumer Health, Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of all lots of select Excedrin and No Doz products with expiration dates of December 20, 2014 or earlier, plus Bufferin and Gas-X Prevention products with expiration dates of December 20, 2013 or earlier. Affected products may contain stray tablets, capsules or caplets from other Novartis products, or they may contain broken or chipped tablets.
